Read the book and am on the third and final installment. I also watched the Swedish movie for the first book. The movie does follow the book but the acting and actors are not top notch. The actor who plays Salander seems so utterly wrong to me. She's supposed to be 5 foot nothing and look like she is 12. Well, in the Swedish movie she looks like she is nearly 6 foot something and not as unassuming as she is portrayed in the books.
The books can be a bit hard to follow with the different actors coming into play and trying to remember the names of all the places. But, overall I liked the first book a lot. I kind of guessed the reveal about the daughter who went missing. But, overall a good read.

I guess this is the episode where you asked. I decided I wanted to start watching Buffy on disc late last year, and Netflix was my sole reasoning behind that. Soon enough, they started streaming every season, making it much easier for me to watch. I was looking for TV show podcasts on iTunes one day, and came across yours for Buffy. Decided it'd be cool to have someone out there watching the same thing I am for the first time. No one else is going to know about Buffy, that I talk to, so it's nice to have you people discuss it.

Though listening to you is becoming grating, due to you always begging for money and saying "Monster of the Week" every 30 seconds. Get a new catchphrase geniuses. Try "Sweet Niblets". Works for another popular TV series.

If your episodes were normal podcast length, I'd appreciate what you do more, but you really just don't have much to say about the episodes other than to quote lines.

Totally agree with you, I don't get why the confusion, and about Jack's son I wouldn't pay many attention to it, since it was all part of that afterlife dreamworld.

And don't throw any rotten tomatoes at me just yet, but it's like 'Titanic' where everyone was just waiting for the right time to *move on* being together one last time. And as you said, it would be one nanosecond after one died that that person became aware in the sideways world or maybe another 2,000 years like Hugo and Ben, the thing is (as Christian told Jack) there is no "now", time passed is irrelevant, they're all here.

First time hearing your pod cast...sad it was the last episode that i hear it on. That being said, I do not understand all the confusion going on with the ending. Nor how so many people are getting it confused. Ive read a lot of blogs that that people are saying that oh they died since the start and then they died during the bomb. Its pretty straight forward was happened. The entire 6 seasons actually happen, and the collective souls of everyone created the sideways view. Since after death time has no meaning obviously it would seem like everyone was there already. When your dead a a second can pass or a millions years can pass, it makes no difference. That is why people like; Charlie, Boon, and Shannon are there along with the survivors, along with Hugo and Ben (who for all we know protected the islands for thousands of years afterwords). and it makes perfect sense as well as to why many of the other cast members didn't show up or come to the church. I.E. Michael and his son, both of who were never happy on the island so obviously Michael would go somewhere else to a point he was happiest probably before his son was born and his wife left him. and Walt had an entire life to live and he probably changed forgot and lived on after all he was only like 12 in the show. Other people like Faraday and his mother didn't go cause they too were not happiest on the island. Instead Faraday got to live the life he had always wanted since being a child, playing professional piano, and his mother got to raise him and not see him die by her hands. Even though they were able to remember the island they had unfinished business if you will so they were not ready to leave. Other people, like Ana and Ecko it seemed obviously they were only on the island for such a small amount of time they would have went else were like Ecko going back to a time with his brother, and Ana having and raising a child. The afterlife is what u make of it, and many believe its a return to when u were the happiest or at your best as a living person, and that's exactly what we saw in the end. The cast going to the afterlife surrounded by friends and loved ones, to be together for all eternity. I don't understand what got so many people confused about that aspect.

The only thing that stuck out of my mind honestly and that kept me off balanced was Jack's son. Was he Juliet's sisters child,and adopted by jack and Juliet? Her sister would not have survived cancer and therefor never lived to raise her own child, remember the only reason she got better was cause Juliet agreed to Ben to stay on the island. Or was the son part of the elaborate sideways world story in which Jack got to find pure happiness by having his own son to raise. After all, Locke got to have an actual relationship with his father, and Sawyer got to make the right decision to better himself and protect people instead of hurting them, which by the end of the show that's who he had become. I will say its obviously why Kate was still a fugitive, after all her step father was a bad person and if given a second chance she would have still killed him.

That's my peace..time to re watch it all one more time .

Hi Jason and Anna!

I wanted to put my few cents in about the "New Name" for the Buffy cast. How about "Delta Park's Adventures in Buffyverse"? The two shows are similar in content but don't play off each other enough to have similar themes, so finding a name that encompasses both would be hard. My second suggestion is “Doublemeat Palace” of course this has nothing to do with Angel and you wouldn’t get it until Season 6 episode 12 . But once you do, you’ll never forget it!

Hi Jason and Anna,

I watched Buffy and enjoyed it, but I tuned in (for the first time) to the Buffy podcast because I like you guys. It was just dumb luck that I tuned in on the Buffycast that you asked this question.

You (and the folks over at the Transmission) have been as much a part of my Lost experience as the 42 minutes on ABC each week. If you lived down here in MS, I'd invite you all (everybody) over for Lasagna, or something.

I am already rewatching Buffy on Logo TV, they started with season 2 and are showing the episodes in order! This is actually how I found you guys in iTunes! Thanks!

I listen to you guys because it is fun to hear the thoughs of the [almost] completely unspoilt on your virgin viewing of the seres. It has been a looong time since I experieinced the joy of a first-time viewing of any episode of Buffy and even when it was on, I was a spoiler-junkie so in the later seasons I pretty much knew about everything that was happening. You guys are really fun - I sit here listening to your thoughts and theories thinking 'just you wait'. And I love that - makes me feel all smart and omniscient ;)

Why I Listen:

I enjoy listening to you two guess at what the titles mean, guess at what will happen and sometimes when I'm listening in my car I might yell at you that you are way off base. Sometimes I'm amazed at when you gloss over something that will be major later on like it's nothing, then I remember you don't know that yet and I'm pretty sure I didn't the first time around either. Last year I watched all 7 seasons again. I own the DVDs. I am a little bit of a Buffy fan girl so it's been awhile since I could watch an episode and not know how something will play out. Your show reminds me of how it felt when it was all new and I couldn't wait until next week.

Why I Listen:
I'm trying to start a Buffy course at Portland State University and one of the requirements is to have (at least possible) guest speakers. So one of the first things I did was type in "portland pop culture bufffy" into google and I saw your podcast. Started listening to it and even signed up for prime so I can hear all of the episodes. BTW once I get the ok for my class I'm totally contacting you guys about being guest speakers for my class :)

One line I love from Dopplegangland that you didn't mention is when Snyder is making Willow tutor Percy, but at first she misunderstands and asks "you want us to breed?"

I didn't watch Buffy the first time around. I started watching the first season about 6 months before you guys started. I had watched about 10 episodes and stopped by then. Once your Buffycast got underway, I got back into watching it and listening to you talk about the episodes. Now, I rent the dvd from Netflix and watch the episodes right before I listen to your podcast. My problem is that I do 10 other things while I watch the show, so I miss all the little details. I swear sometimes I can't believe I just watched the same show you guys are describing. :-)

Like others, I am really enjoying hearing the thoughts of people discovering the Buffyverse for the first time, not knowing where the story is going, and who lives or dies. I have been listening to you for several years and was psyched when you announced your intention to to do a Buffy (and maybe Angel) show.

I was subsequently disappointed to learn that only prime subscribers would hear all of them. I implore you to open up all of your Buffy episodes for non-prime subscribers; at least the previous seasons! It seems like a lot of money to pay for a 10 minute podcast. I'm rolling the dice Once More With Feeling lands on a non-Prime-only week.

The reason I'm listening is because I can not get enough Buffy talk. When the show first aired, I was out of college, working, with a baby. Now that I'm far enough away from high school, I can enjoy teen shows again. My tween daughter and I watched Buffy about a year ago. Since then, we've listened to every Buffy podcast on the internet. The show is a perfect fit for podcasting because there's so much to discuss. The universe is wide open. Great show. Thanks for doing it.

I watched the first few seasons of Buffy, then went away to college and stopped watching around Season 4. Recently I borrowed the DVDs from a friend and am watching the whole thing from the beginning.. I was searching for Buffy podcasts and found yours on ITunes, and you have me hooked! My only suggestion would be keep talking! 10 min is too short sometimes, just when you get into it it ends. Thank you for doing this though, I look forward to your podcasts.

Hey Jason and Anna,

You asked why we are listening to your Buffy show. For me, I had seen a couple episodes when it was originally on (but I was around the 6th grade, and it was on before Dawson's Creek) and I didn't really watch that much. But since you guys were going back and watching it I thought I would to. Now I am hooked... I watched up to half way threw season 4. But I had to stop because I was watching an episode of Lost a day with a friend leading up to the season 6 premiere. Gonna listen and watch along with you guys from now on! :)
