Bob and I are blizzarded in and were inspired to watch highlights from Season 2 last night (I can't believe you guys have us sucked back into this). A few notes:

#1 Wait at least until Episode 3 before you judge the season.

#2 It's important to remember that this show was on the 'WB' - remember the WB? - hence there's a lot of 'required by the network' crap to appeal to teenage girls, i.e. guest bands at the Bronze, lots moments with Sarah Mclaughlin music panning over shots of characters in deep thought, you know, pretty much all of Dawson's Creek stuff. Whenever that would happen Bob and I would look at each other and go 'ug - WB moment.'

#3 It's totally awesome.

Just thought that might help. :)

Happy Holidaze,
Jason

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

totally kidding...It's my favorite ever.

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

Ok, I'm chomping at the bit for the next installment. It requires quite a lot of self control not to watch ahead.
I have to put my vote in for "I robot, you Jane" for the worst episode of the series. At least in "the pack" there was fun principal eating and in "teacher's pet" there was fun virgin back pedaling. There is no redeeming fun-ness in "I robot". ...with the possible exception of "if you're not jacked in, you're not alive". I'm expecting an uptick in my use of "jacked in" from now on.

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

I just got around to watching these two eps tonight. (I was supposed to be "working from home" while the Boston area gets pounded with snow.) I too somehow missed the whole Buffy phenomenon when it was first run, despite the fact that when it was really at its peak I was attending an all women's college with only one TV per dorm where Buffy watching was de rigueur.

Anna, you mentioned the "young Paul Rudd" guy. Not only did I also totally think that guy was Rudd-esque, but also I recognized him as Jen's hip boyfriend (Billy?) from New York from season one of Dawson's Creek.

I'm really enjoying the Buffy shows. Please keep putting them out--I'm hoping to actually get the next two eps in tonight before your next episode comes out.

Cheers from SuperFan Courtney in Somerville, Massachusetts

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

He's kidding. :)

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

Worst Show Ever? Buffy - Worst. Show. Ever. Total Tripe. :)p

Re: Delta Park Does Buffy - E3 Kill Pack on the Delta Park Project

Hi guys, I'm yet another superfan who's excited that you're watching Buffy. I watched the whole series for the first time just this past spring and I had no one to talk about it with :( . So I'm glad I can virtual-watch it again with you guys.
Back in the first episode you mentioned that its fun to see people on the show before they got famous (and I agree). But I don't think you mentioned the vampire from the opening scene, who is Julie Benz, Dexter's girlfriend from Dexter. Also if you watch Angel too, Josh Holloway plays a vampire in the pilot episode and he pretty much is playing vampire Sawyer. It's the opening scene, so can watch just that, if you decide you're sick of vampires by the time season 4 rolls around.
